CVC Thermoset Specialties has appointed Jeffrey Tyrrell as product manager for its reactive liquid polymers (RLPs). In this role, Tyrrell will be responsible for providing strategic, operational and technical direction to drive the growth of the RLP product line globally. Prior to joining CVC, Tyrrell held various commercial, technical and operations management positions at Air Products, Cytec, Elementis and Praxair. Most recently at Illinois Tool Works, a company serving the semiconductor and disk drive industry, Tyrrell served as general manager. At these companies, Tyrrell was responsible for marketing and product line management of a broad range of specialty chemicals, pre-polymers, rubber and resins in industrial applications, such as coatings, adhesives, sealants and electronics. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in management science from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
